Migrant Worker’s Access to Justice

Year of Publication: 2015

Published by: CESLAM

The project is designed to identify the most significant problems faced by migrant workers in terms of violation of their rights, map the ways in which legal frameworks and mechanisms protect the rights of these workers and their families, determine and ensure accountability for rights violations, and enable redress when those problems occur. Working collaboratively with the University of Pennsylvania, the University of New South Wales, and the Open Society Foundations’ International Migration Initiative, this research is part of a larger endeavour to provide recommendations on improving transnational access to justice for migrant workers pre-departure, post-departure and during employment, and upon return to country of origin.
