The interaction programme on ‘Concluding Observations of the Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women’ was held on 23 September 2011. At the programme, a presentation was made by Dr. Renu Raj Bhandari of WOREC, which was followed by discussion amongst the audience that comprised of representattives of various government bodies like the Women's Council, Foreign Employment Board, and various nongovernmental organizations. Dr. Bhandari presented the concluding observations and recommendations made by the CEDAW committee on the adoption and implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) in Nepal.
