Although South Korea has emerged as a preferred work destination for Nepali migrants in recent years, there is a clear dearth of studies on the issues of Nepali workers’ migration to South Korea. This paper looks at South Korea-bound migrant workers’ socio-economic characteristics, aspirations, preferred sector of work, experiences with the Korean language test, and pre-migration related costs.
