Centre for the Study of Labour and Mobility (www.ceslam.org), a partner organization of the South Asia Centre for Labour Mobility and Migrants (SALAM), invites application from interested candidates for a one-day ‘Workshop on Migration Research’. The workshop will be held on 22 June 2023 in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The workshop is intended for students (interested in) writing their Master’s and PhD thesis on any aspect of migration related to Nepal, including but not limited to foreign labour migration, internal migration, student migration, and Nepali migrant communities.

Workshop Sessions

Session 1: Research Ideas to Research Questions: Making Ideas Researchable
Session 2: Analysing and Interpreting Qualitative Data
Session 3: Interpretation and Presentation of Quantitative Data
Session 4: Migration data and studies in Nepal

Interested applicants are required to submit the following documents to [email protected] by 9 June 2023 (Friday):

• Short description of your intended research (1-2 page)
• Cover letter indicating why you are interested in the workshop
• One-page CV

Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by 16 June 2023.
