Nafea poll to fill vacant posts

The establishment faction of the  Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Agencies (Nafea) has decided to hold an internal election on March 27 to fill the vacant posts of second vice chairman, secretary, treasury and executive member despite the demand from its dissident faction to hold general assembly and change the whole leadership.

The dissident faction has accused Chairman Hansa Raj Wagle of avoiding election to stick to power and abusing his authority against the interest of member agencies and workers. Earlier, the Kathmandu District Administration Office had directed the Nafea to hold general convention by March 29. The establishment faction, however, challenged the directive taking the case to the district court, which legitimatised Wagle but asked it to go to election.
