Temporary houses handed over to 24 quake victims

As many as 24 families have been shifted to temporary houses at Jitpani of Shaktikhor VDC as their settlements were under heavy risk due to the major cracks on the land after the devastating earthquake of April 25 in Chitwan.
 
Earlier, a team of technicians announced that the settlements were unsafe to live in due to the major cracks. Different donor agencies had constructed temporary huts to shelter the displaced families. They handed over the houses to the families at a programme organised in Chitwan today.
 
Chitwan Chief District Officer Binod Prakash Singh had handed over the keys of the houses to the families at the programme today. It is said that with financial assistance of Rs 40 lakh, the temporary houses were constructed by different donor agencies.
