Buddi Bahadur Tamang and his family members from Sundaradevi-1of Nuwakot allegedly tried to threaten a woman for lodging a police complaint against Tamang on human trafficking charge. The victim said Tamang and his family are pressuring her to withdraw the case. She has accused Tamang of selling he to an Indian brothel. She also claimed that Tamang’s wife offered her Rs 400,000 to withdraw the case. Meanwhile, Sindhupalchowk District Court has remanded a man into custody on human trafficking charge. The suspect, Ruk Bahadur Tamang, is accused of trafficking young women outside the country on the pretext of providing them jobs.  (PR)
